Guests sipped specialty cocktails and enjoyed a sampling of Executive Chef Jarrett Bennett's hors d'oeuvres—all infused with worldly flavors and seasonings from Morocco, Ecuador, France, Israel, Italy, and Japan. Favorites included the Bay Scallop Ceviche Spoons and the Tapioca Crusted Shrimp Skewers. F mavi lounge hosts grand opening event T ravel back in time—and stay organized, too—with the Caldwell Public Library's unique 2010 calendar. Complete with 13 blackand-white images of Caldwell, donated by the family of late township resident and photographer Gene Collerd, the calendar captures the spirit of the town and its landmarks from the Victorian era through the 20th century. Photos from Collerd's personal collection as well as selections of his own work are featured in the calendar, which includes snapshots of Bloomfield Avenue, Konner Chevrolet, and Grover Cleveland's birthplace. " e calendar is reminiscent of another time in this area of Essex County," says Karen Kleppe Lembo, director of the Caldwell Public Library. "When you look at the photographs, they show Caldwell's history. ey are truly iconic." Kleppe Lembo and the library are now in possession of Collerd's entire photo collection, which includes thousands of snapshots of Essex County. e calendar is on sale for $15 at e Caldwell Public Library, 268 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell. Proceeds will help fund library advancements, including enhancements including to the Collerd photo collection archives. Plans for additional calendars and notecard sets are in the works. St. Barnabas is also among the top five percent nationwide. "Cardiac surgery is a team effort," says Paul Burns, M.D., director of cardiac surgery at Saint Barnabas and vice chairman of cardiac surgery for the Saint Barnabas Healthcare System. He cites the multidisciplinary, holistic approach as the main reason for the hospital's success.
