Photography of John Sullivan Wood John, affectionately called "Woody" by his friends, spins his work with his own analogy and metaphors. For example, his exhibit features a photograph of a figure wearing a vest with honey hanging from the pockets and labels it "investment." Observers are hard pressed not to smile at many of his humorous photos. Woody has exhibited in the Arts Council of Livingston, as well as other venues. Runs through July. Musician's Showcase Church Street Kitchen offers musicians a place to rock (or jazz, or blues). Pick your best tunes, and perform for the dining guests. Summer Figure Skating Camp Mother Computer Classes for Women Unbounded: New Art for a New Century This provocative exhibition presents work by more than 30 contemporary artists and is drawn from the museum's various collections. A dynamic thematic display highlights the universal concerns and ideas that inspire artistic creativity, creating unexpected connections that transcend traditional divisions based on geography, genre, or media. This fair features lots of free entertainment with dazzling performers, as well as more than 75 food vendors, thrilling rides, games, exhibits, shopping, and bargain ticket nights. This exhibit of Monica Litvany works combines large-scale/figurative sculpture with exquisitely surfaced sculptural vessels. Reliquary for Love Tokens has an extremely detailed surface with subtle color variations and stands over six feet tall. Litvany's mastery of alternative firing techniques is evident in all her works, from small narrative pieces to large wall installations. Runs through July 31. The summer program offers children the opportunity to experiment with a variety of media in a fun and supportive environment. Children are encouraged to use their imagination freely. Campers create four art projects per week. The projects are inspired by a different master artist and include painting, drawing, mixed-media collage, sculpture, printmaking, and paper mache.
